IT User NVQ Level 1, 2 and 3
Overview
These NVQs are designed to reflect the work of everyone who uses IT skills in their day to day job role.
Individuals need IT skills to maximise efficiency and can range from routine word / transaction processing to constructive use of the powerful application packages that are available.
Structure of the NVQ
The NVQ is made up of units with one of those units being mandatory. Each unit has a points value and you must achieve the number of points required in order to gain the NVQ at their specified level
Level 1 = 40 points Level 2 = 100 points Level 3 = 180 points

How is it delivered?
The NVQ is competence based. This means that it is linked to a person's ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected to their work.
Trident assigns each candidate a personal assessor who will deliver the qualification at the candidate's workplace. A portfolio of evidence is built up that shows how the candidate has demonstrated competence across all units over a period of time.
Candidates are welcome to use the facilities and support available at Tridents training premises.
Trident offer e-learning opportunities through this qualification enabling candidates to build an online portfolio of evidence, regular contact with assessor via e-mail 2 as well as giving them access to their portfolio 24hrs a day and no more paperwork.
