This is one of a series of progressive purchasing and supply management qualifications designed by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

This qualification is aimed at individuals with some previous business experience or qualification in purchasing who wish to progress into first line managers and onto Level 5 & 6.

Often, it is those who are good at the basic jobs who are promoted into junior managers. This qualification aims to give individuals some insight into best practices, learn to make effective use of information and develop their decision making skills and improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Course Length: Eleven month period

Measuring Purchasing Performance
Purchasing Context
Managing Purchasing & Supply Relationships
Developing Contracts.
Effective Negotiation.

Assessment: 3 Hour Written Examination

Dates of Assessment: dates scheduled upon completion of each unit

Cost: £395 + VAT per unit

CIPS membership fee £120 (approx)

Study Guides: £30/module

Exam Fees: £60/module (approx)

Entry Requirements: successful completion of CIPS Level 3 Certificate or relevant work
