The Salvation Army are looking for a Development Manager to join their Strawberry Field Project

Liverpool with flexible home or office base in Warrington

Salary: £40,928 per annum

Working Hours: Minimum of 35 hours per week

Details: Fixed Term Contract minimum 12 months with possibility of extension

This is a unique opportunity for someone with excellent project management and interpersonal skills to help develop and implement the vision for the iconic site of Strawberry Field. The centre will be a training hub for young people with learning disabilities, a visitors attraction and a place of Christian ministry.

Key Responsibilities:

 Fulfil project objectives through phased and detailed implementation of project and programme design
 Contribute to the marketing and fundraising strategies to maximise collaborative opportunities in Liverpool
 Work with consultants to identify and create interest among primary audiences
 Develop business relationships and networks to support the trainees programme and visitors experience
 Ensure positive integration and workflow, including a new expression of church, between local, regional, head office personnel supporting the project
 Prepare logical and precise written communication for easy interpretation by project groups

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience of:
 Effective management of workload and diverse teams with varied or conflicting agendas
 Developing strategy, achieving buy-in and being the project lead
 Paying attention to detail and delivering within deadlines
 How to communicate with a diverse audience to complement the marketing, fundraising, media and public relations aspects of projects
 Event management, the visitor economy, working in business development and/or marketing
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
