Enterprise Adviser

  • Location: Liverpool

The Enterprise Adviser Network: We are recruiting! We are looking for any businesses who may be interested in getting involved in the Enterprise Adviser Network in Liverpool. I am looking to recruit a further 10 Enterprise Advisers from business before the end of October 2017.

What is the Enterprise Adviser Network?

The Network works with secondary schools and colleges to develop and implement a Careers, Enterprise and Employer Engagement Plan.  This is achieved through matching schools with volunteers (Enterprise Advisers) from the world of work.

The work initially begins by auditing what is being delivered in relation to careers, enterprise and employer links across the school.  We then look at where the gaps are and, with the support of the Enterprise Adviser (the business contact) and myself, we work with the individual school’s Senior Leaders to develop and support an effective Enterprise strategy using the CEC Development Tool materials. The time commitment to this equates to around one meeting per month with the link school and myself.

The Enterprise Adviser Network is a national initiative set up by the Careers and Enterprise Company.

I'm sure you agree thatthe Enterprise Adviser programme is a worthwhile one and I do believe that it is a sustainable model which will result in a longer term positive impact on young people’s preparation and understanding of work, reducing NEET, potentially strengthening your workforce and attracting further investment into the area.
