Marketing and Business Support Executive

The post holder will be responsible for supporting and implementing an exciting and engaging marketing and communication programme with a strong focus on social media and online engagement.

Job purpose:

Liverpool & Sefton Chambers of Commerce is a private sector membership organisation that provides business services intended to support our objective to make Liverpool the best place to start or locate a business in the UK.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting and implementing an exciting and engaging marketing and communication programme with a strong focus on social media and online engagement.

The post-holder will ensure that key processes which provide a first class service to all members are enabled. They will also be responsible for the cleansing and production of data to support event and product service promotion.

The role will also deal with day to day enquiries from businesses, supporting the publication of articles events, and uploading of content to the Chambers media channels including social media. The post-holder will also provide assistance in the running of events through attendance, photography, social media activity and general administrative support.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • To deliver marketing and communication activity through social media & direct marketing activity
  • To innovate new and creative ideas to broaden the audience of Chamber of Commerce material and content
  • To manage and maintain the content of the Chamber website
  • To support the functions of the Chamber’s events, marketing and customer engagement programmes
  • Administrate the Chamber website to ensure appropriate content is submitted and well positioned
  • Undertake some design work for the production of marketing and communication work
  • Attend and support the delivery of Chamber events
  • Undertake analytical reports to identify trends and activities to measure response rates and engagement of communication and marketing activity.
  • Provide analysis of campaigns, complying a statistical report on Chamber activity and providing relevant reports to the Business Development team to focus sales activity
  • Provide the first point of contact for press enquiries to identify relevant individuals within the organisation to provide comment
  • To provide support to the Chambers administrative function

 

Skills/Qualifications

  • Passion and desire for delivering an exciting social media programme
  • Ability to draft or edit copy that is interesting, engaging and relevant to the Chamber’s principal audience
  • Competency in Photoshop and other related software
  • Willingness to develop own skills and contribute to the wider business
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good literacy ability
  • Good attention to detail, accuracy and standards of work
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to team and individual achievement
  • Good understanding of MS Office functions
