Procurement Officer - Sovini

The Sovini Group are seeking a Procurement Officer who will contribute to team activities participating in a wide range of procurement and administration services.

The Procurement Officer will be expected to lead and implement new contracts in accordance with the 2018/19 Procurement plan. The Procurement Officer will be supported by the Procurement Manager in the management and administration of all contracts, tender submissions to ensure that they meet the desired timescales that have been set within the procurement plan.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and hold a CIPS qualification, ideally level 4 or above. The candidate will also have experience of working within a procurement environment, working with contracts and service level Agreements and experience of carrying out spend analysis to existing contracts that are in place to determine if projected savings are being made.

The post holder will have excellent oral and written communications skills, with a focus on high quality customer service and a high quality of customer service. As well as this they will have the ability to build effective relationships, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at every level of seniority. Also they must be able to prioritise complex and demanding workload across the Sovini Group and its Partners.

The successful candidate must also be comfortable working with a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office, and with the ability to quickly pick up new and unfamiliar packages.
