The Salvation Army are looking for a Programme Manager for their Steps to Work programme.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a Programme Manager to develop, launch and manage the Steps to Work programme for young people with learning disabilities, which in the future will be based at Strawberry Field.

The Salvation Army plans to re-develop the Strawberry Field site aiming to give people with learning disabilities vocational training, work placements and tangible opportunities to gain employment. The site will provide a place of spiritual reflection and a visitor experience which explores The Salvation Army and John Lennon’s connection with the former children’s home.

Key Responsibilities include:

Developing and delivering an innovative high quality training and work programme; promoting the Christian mission of The Salvation Army within the programme; building networks and developing opportunities for partnership working; ensure compliance with contractual arrangements; working as part of the overall Management Team; preparation and monitoring of the budget.

This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
