Sales Manager - Liverpool and Sefton Chambers of Commerce

The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of an outstanding portfolio of events and the obtaining of revenue to meet business objectives.

Job purpose:

Liverpool & Sefton Chambers of Commerce is a private sector membership organisation that provides business services intended to support our objective to make Liverpool the best place to start or locate a business in the UK.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for the acquisition of new customers, principally members of the Chamber, by identifying business needs and securing an appropriate service is sold to the customer.

The post-holder will be an integral part of the Chamber team, generate their own leads both independently and in conjunction with colleagues in the organisation. They will then ensure an appropriate support briefing is provided to colleagues to ensure the client is appropriately managed and their objectives achieved.
 

Key Accountabilities

  • Achieve new membership sales targets in volume and revenue, focussing predominantly upon high-value client recruitment
  • Generation of leads for recruitment of new members
  • To identify key sectors for high volume sales opportunities
  • To work with colleagues to ensure sales focus aligns with marketing campaigns
  • Responsible for selling tickets for the Chamber’s premium events including Aintree and Annual Dinner
  • Attendance at internal and external networking meetings to raise awareness of the Chamber and drive sales
  • To provide feedback from meetings with potential members to shape Chamber activity
  • To identify opportunities for upselling and cross selling of additional Chamber products and services
  • To accurately record all meetings on the Chamber’s CRM system
     

Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience and good track record in a business to business sales environment
  • Passionate about business and the Liverpool City Region
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to business priorities
  • Appreciation of business requirements and needs
  • Tenacity, commitment and professionalism to represent the values of the Chamber at all times
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management and effective working
  • Good literacy ability
  • Good attention to detail , accuracy and standards of work
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to team and individual achievement
  • Good understanding of MS Office functions
  • Educated to a degree level qualification is desirable
  • Driving license is desirable
