The Supervisor will hold responsibilities at a Supervisory level and an operating level. He/she will instil best working practices within the Digital Print and CAD Cut Department, improving team efficiency, sharing knowledge and always looking for ways to improve the department. You will co-ordinate and oversee Digital Print for key company contracts. You will hold a broad understanding of Company/departmental challenges and nurture this understanding throughout all team members to encourage positivity and to build positive working relationships with other departments.

Job Responsibilities - Person Specification

To utilise software, effectively delegate and to operate machinery in an efficient manner to meet production
goals and to ensure quality. This will include,

  • To read job sheet and visual to determine type and location of branding
  • To highlight discrepancies and work effectively with the sales contact and/or Department Manager to clarify and resolve
  • To follow instructions on job card in relation to size, position and colours and when required selects size and colour of substrate
  • To use application and weeding tools
  • To always observe printing and pressing operation to detect defects in print/application that indicate
  • machine malfunction and notifies manager of malfunction urgently
  • To weed and heat press onto textiles and ensure the job is completed to the highest quality
  • To perform preventative maintenance and clean machines on a daily basis
  • To understand the specific operational requirements for Key Contracts and implement best working practices around them
  • To effectively delegate to ensure all customer deadlines are met and staff are productive
  • To notify the sales contact and/or Department Manager at the earliest oppurtunity if a deadline can't be met to discuss reasons, solutions and to implement a plan of action for completion
  • To ensure that all department team members are fulfilling the responsibilities of the job at all times and to highlight and rectify when they are not
  • To look for efficiency improvements and implement new procedures
  • To enforce Health and Safety requirement's to ensure a safe working environment
  • To hold an understanding of Company/departmental challenges that will assist in building positive and effective working relationships throughout the company

  • As Wild Thangs production facility is so diverse at times you may be required to work in other departments where demand is higher

8.30am - 5.30pm Mon-Thurs; 8.30am - 4.30pm Fri 41.50 hrs per week
