The purpose of the Air Transport Committee is to:

• identify and promote members' issues
• elicit, represent and communicate to potential providers, the views of business travellers on their requirements for, and expectations of, air transport services
• promote the needs of business in Merseyside and the North West (and in particular Liverpool) with relation to Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Manchester Airport.
• lobby for suitable routes which have a proven case as being important to business
• carry out surveys and research to ascertain business needs with relation to air transport
• lobby for the development of the necessary infrastructure associated with the airport to encourage tourism into Liverpool
• make recommendations on key air transport policy issues through British Chambers for national policy and through lobbying at local and regional level and produce policy statements
• ensure the Chamber is well represented at external functions and on suitable bodies relating to the issues
• plan relevant events and briefings for all members / or committee members only

The Air Transport Committee is chaired by Dr Peter Brown of Liverpool University

Business Travel

Interlining

The Committee is lobbying for improved visibility of Liverpool on an international scale. The aim is to improve the ease of travel to and from Liverpool to world wide destinations.

Business Travel
The Committee is considering Business Travel. Research is currently considering the needs of business travellers. The aim of this project is to improve the correlation between the needs of business travellers and the services provided to them.
