Fri, October 20th, 2017

Awards take place at Annual Dinner on 2 November

Shortlisted finalists for this year’s Liverpool and Sefton Chambers of Commerce Annual Awards have been announced.

This year’s Awards have been designed to recognise those businesses and individuals who are driving forward the responsible business agenda across the Liverpool City Region.

Many companies are implementing innovative and creative ways of supporting staff and their local communities, reducing their environmental impact and creating economic benefits both in their business and for the local economy and we want to celebrate and share those achievements.

Awards this year fall under the five categories:

Responsible Business of the Year (Large & Small & Medium) sponsored by BT
This category celebrates those businesses which have successfully embedded responsible business policies throughout their organisation

Empowering People and Communities sponsored by Liverpool John Lennon Airport
This category celebrates successful businesses who actively engage with local communities (in the UK and overseas), creating positive business opportunities, supporting the local economy and addressing inequalities.

Environmental Impact sponsored by SP Energy Networks
This category celebrates those businesses who are addressing key environmental issues including resource scarcity, biodiversity loss and climate change, developing new business models to support long term sustainable growth.

Local Hero sponsored by Liverpool & Sefton Chambers of Commerce
This category celebrates individuals who have gone over and above the call of duty to support responsible business activities in their organisation.
