This morning we welcomed guests to a members meeting at Barnett Waddingham

This morning (Friday 24th) we welcomed guests to a members meeting hosted by Barnett Waddingham to discuss the impact of the budget and the macro-economic conditions.

Brian Sloan, North West Agent for the Bank of England, gave a snapshot of the macro-economic conditions and the prevailing impact anticipated as a result of the budget announcements.

Whilst content was discussed on a ‘Chatham House’ basis, participants discussed the impact of inflationary pressures, Brexit, productivity challenges and international trade as well as trends relating to wage growth and investment in capital expenditure.
