Last weekend saw a group of brave B&M staff climb Mount Snowdon

Last weekend saw a group of brave B&M staff climb Mount Snowdon – the highest mountain in England and Wales – overnight in order to raise critical funds for two of the business’ nominated charities, Claire House Children’s Hospice and The Frost Foundation.

The team has raised an incredible amount – over £4000 – for the two charities.
Made up of staff from two of the national company’s depots, Wirral and Manchester, the team began the challenging task of climbing 1085 metres above sea level at 8pm, being rewarded for their efforts with a breath-taking sunset just before reaching the summit at 11.30pm.

Paul Curtis, a Director at B&M Waste, joined the team of 24, commenting; “Climbing Snowdon is by no means an easy feat – but the tireless work of Claire House and the Frost Foundation makes this look like a walk in the park by comparison. We’re so pleased to be able to support them in this way.”

Graham Curtis, also a Director from the family-run company, added; “The team have been fantastic. It’s been a real group effort with everybody supporting one another, clearly with the bigger picture of helping the charities in mind.”
Claire House Children’s Hospice in Merseyside helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. The Frost Foundation in Manchester helps local children who are disadvantaged by illness, circumstance or lack of funding.
