…keeping your organisation well connected throughout the year.

Hello and welcome to our latest newsletter, don’t forget, Network membership entitles you to bespoke assistance whenever it’s required, simply contact; steve.atkinson@merseytravel.gov.uk with any requests.

Merseyrail’s New Business Partnership Manager

We’d like you to meet Zo? Thirsk, who joined Merseyrail this summer to manage Merseyrail’s Corporate Season Ticket Scheme.

The scheme enables businesses to offer staff an interest free loan to purchase a 12 month Railpass for the price of 10 months’ travel, helping to make train travel more accessible to more people.

Staff can spread the cost across the year, paying their employer back through their monthly salary. They benefit from the savings associated with an annual pass, with the flexibility to pay monthly.

Zo? works with members to contribute to their CSR objectives, environmental targets and staff health and well-being initiatives, as well as helping to alleviate strain on office parking.

The scheme is simple and quick to join and businesses who previously offered their own travel loans have commented that Merseyrail’s scheme helped them to minimise admin and provides them with extra support.

If you’d like to have a chat with Zo? to discuss how the Corporate Season Ticket Scheme could work for your business and employees you can email ZThirsk@Merseyrail.org or call 0151 955 2145, Monday-Friday.

Better Value Bus Travel

Operators Arriva & Halton Transport have both recently introduced changes to their multi journey ticketing offers, providing simpler & cheaper options, especially for those commuters travelling in & out of the Halton area to Merseyside & Warrington.

Meanwhile Stagecoach continue to provide a week’s travel for just £2 a day with their ‘megarider’ ticket. For those who need to use more than one operator, a Merseytravel Solo ticket is the best option.

Whichever you choose, buying weekly or monthly tickets can work out far cheaper than travelling by car!
