A marketing campaign which helped Liverpool’s St Johns Shopping Centre beat national trends has won a major award.

The digital marketing campaign carried out by city marketing firm Kenyons scooped the Best Digital Marketing Campaign – Retail, at the Northern Digital Awards 2019.

The shopping centre saw a year on year sales increase of 3% for each month of 2018, and a footfall increase of 1.5%. The strategic digital activity from Kenyons played a crucial part, driving awareness and engagement with the target audience.

Kenyons used a multi-media, multi-channel campaign with strategic creativity throughout the relationship with the shopping centre. This has included creation of several videos and animations and work with influencers, as well as targeted digital advertising.

James Dunningham, Account Director at Kenyons, said: “This award shows what is possible when an agency team works in true collaboration with a great client. The partnership between the management of St Johns and our team has really delivered results, in a very challenging national retail environment.”
