The Liverpool Chamber of Commerce is on a mission to identify and map out some of the work businesses are doing with primary and secondary schools across the Liverpool City Region. Whether delivering purpose built programmes or providing ad-hoc or variable activities, we would like to understand what (if any) activity you undertake to enhance the ability of pupils and students to get insights or experiences into the world of work.

We would like your help to better understand the current private sector provision of school engagement across the Liverpool City Region. We want to capture the often unrecognised but highly important contribution made by LCR businesses and employees to help inform and inspire our young people - your future workforce.

By completing the questionnaire we will be able to articulate the scale and types of support currently being delivered to schools; with the aim of encouraging more employers to take part and ensuring more schools and young people have equal access to the wide variety of private sector programmes on offer.

We have set up a survey to help create a directory of engagement that businesses can complete – the approach is designed to support the work of the Enterprise Advisor Network, Careers Hub and Local Authorities education services in identifying and recognising the opportunities businesses provide. We would particularly welcome a conversation with you together with our teams at the Chamber, Professional Liverpool and LEP.

To complete the survey you will need the details of the programmes your organisation takes part in/ provides. This may be a colleague within your organisation.

You can complete the survey online or complete a word document version.

However, we would be delighted to discuss this issue in person or over the phone too so we can understand the nuances of your school engagement experience.
