The introduction of the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in May 2018...
The introduction of the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in May 2018 marks the biggest change in data protection law for 20 years.
Despite Brexit, the new law will change the way we hold data on EU citizens and will also affect those UK companies who are part of a European company’s supply chain.
If you fail to prove compliance to your EU partners you risk losing out to competition who do comply. Added to this, fines for non-compliance or for suffering a loss can run to 4% of global turnover or €20m (whichever is higher).
Organisations that embrace this change early can gain significant advantages over their competitors and improve consumer confidence.
Attendees at this 60 Really Useful Minutes Southport seminar will learn;
• Why Cybersecurity matters in your business every business regardless of size, is now a target
• How GDPR changes the Data Privacy landscape and for most businesses increases Privacy Risk considerably
• How to become compliant using the ICO 12 step guidance.
