There is a huge booming demand for creative and cultural products and services in China. The cultural industries are vital part of the government’s plan to upgrade from a manufacturing based economy to an innovation and knowledge based economy. Demand for digital content in China has exploded with the introduction of smart phone technology, construction of cinemas, a high level of internet penetration as well as the near complete coverage by traditional TV broadcasters. This has been reflected in the high growth rate in revenues in these sectors: TV and Radio grew by 11.1% (annualized) between 2012-2017, film by nearly 50% in 2015 (though slowed to single digit growth in 2016 and 2017) and games expanded by 15.1% in 2016 to revenues of $24.4 billion and is now the largest single games market in the world. These staggering rates of growth are not expected to slow.

On a one-to-one basis, our sector leads will discuss matters ranging from the market potential for your products or services, to how to establish a presence in the market, as well as the support and services available to help you develop your business in China in a cost effective way.
