Housing Initiatives (HI) is part of the Expect Group and is a charity that provides accommodation to a range of adults who are considered to be vulnerable, including people living with a disability or needing mental health support. HI works in collaboration with other charitable and not-for-profit organisations and social landlords to offer affordable housing. One of their most recent partnerships has been with Veterans, a result of which has seen a number of ex-servicemen being able to move into their own self-contained flats. In addition to housing provision they also pride themselves on the relationships that they build with tenants, many of whom are otherwise socially isolated. They organise community outings as well as signposting them to other appropriate interventions.

Expect Limited offers a range of social care services in the North West of England and North Wales to vulnerable people. We offer services to people who have a learning disability, those who need mental health support, Dementia, those on the autistic spectrum, acquired brain injuries, personality disorders and other complex needs through residential houses, supported living and day care facilities. Our goal is to reduce social isolation and deprivation of our service users across our region, to create more opportunities for the people we work with which will enable them to flourish and achieve their goals in life, whilst continuing to champion their wellbeing and independence as well.
