Growth Catalyst is a seven-month leadership development programme, designed specifically for owners and senior managers of SMEs in the Liverpool City Region, to help the business grow. The programme is uniquely designed to provide both personal and business support.
This is a free programme, funded with UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF). Under the arrangement, we are looking to recruit a minimum of 33% of participating businesses from Liverpool, so would appreciate your guidance on other ways in which we can engage with and recruit Liverpool businesses.
This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.

The programme includes:
• A 2 day overnight leadership residential. (Thornton Hall Hotel)
• 6 hours of coaching.
• 7 masterclasses.
• 4 x three hour Action Learning set meetings.
• A Business Shadowing Exercise.
• 6 “Essential Skills” online workshops.
• A peer network of likeminded owner/managers
Participants must attend the overnight residential on the 15th and 16th May 2024 and must be able to commit to attend a minimum of 80% of all activities.
There is no charge for attending the programme, however there is an application and selection process to ensure that places are awarded to businesses that have plans for growth and are committed to meaningful change.
