Through the Chamber’s own research, and discussion with businesses and the education sector, we have identified a real appetite for a network of schools and businesses which can facilitate engagement and introductions between the two. We know that there are many schools and businesses who recognise the benefits of working collaboratively, to enhance the employability and career prospects for young people in our City Region.
In partnership with Liverpool City Council, we are hosting the first meeting of the School-Business Network on the 10th of February 2022. The session will give you the chance to connect with senior representatives and to gain an overview of some of the activity and best practice taking place. We will be joined by Dr Katie Spall, Senior Project Manager at Liverpool City Council, who is integral in developing the new Liverpool Pathways into Work project, being delivered in secondary schools across the City Region.
Katie is seeking employers who can aid in the development of students during the project through a number of ways. You can find out more information on the project and how you could get involved here.
The meeting will be attended by:
- Head teachers and careers leads from schools
- Local businesses across a wide range of sectors
- Key delivery partners including Liverpool City Council
