Join us for the second event of our School Business Network, in partnership with Liverpool City Council.

We are delighted to announce the second event of our School Business Network, in partnership with Liverpool City Council.

At Liverpool Chamber, we believe that access to business and real world opportunities is key to developing the talented young people in our City Region. However, we know from our members and those who attended the first event of the network that there is often a ‘disconnect’ between business and education. This disconnect leaves students with less opportunities to discover the pathways into employment and the different routes and sectors which are available to them. It is for this reason that we have created the School Business Network to bridge the gap and facilitate collaboration.

What is the School Business Network?

The School Business Network aims to create a central hub in which business and education can gather in one room to discuss the challenges they have faced in engaging, how they can work collaboratively to better benefit young people and form connections that will allow them to have a greater impact on students here in the City Region.

What can I expect?

The second event will showcase a number of companies who have committed to engagement after attending the first event.

We will hear how they have engaged successfully with schools and what it meant for them as a company as well as the students. We will also be looking at ways in which companies can have an additional impact, with a particular focus on how business can help increase employability outcomes for young people with SEND.

How will I benefit from attending?

As a business, you will get the chance to highlight the programmes/ways in which you can engage with schools and impact students. As a school, you will get the chance to highlight the employability needs of your students, and how business can better integrate into the work taking place.
