Have you ever wondered how some entrepreneurs seem destined to succeed? Join us to find out what qualities define a successful entrepreneur.
We all know a few entrepreneurs who keep being successful time and again. It’s clearly not down to luck, but is business success really due to the advice we’re often given: “believe in yourself”; “never give up” and “follow your passion”?
In the first hour, we explore five simple things successful entrepreneurs do to reduce their chances of failure; once you know what they are, you can follow in their footsteps.
In the second hour, you’ll get a chance to put your entrepreneurial skills to the test in “CUT&RUN” the business simulator challenge, where you’ll be part of a team competing to make the greatest profit as you launch a new business.
We end the session with a practical skills session. We’re all encouraged to network in our business lives. But there are several unspoken practical tips and techniques which make networking so much easier and more successful.
With questions and answers and a few surprises thrown in, this workshop will be insightful, memorable and most certainly fun.
The workshop will be delivered by Peter Hill, also known as “Peter the Speaker”. You may recognise Peter from having successfully pitched on Dragons’ Den. When Peter started up he had questions no one was able to answer: Will people buy my products? How do I pitch my ideas? Am I doing the right things to be successful? During his business journey, he found the answers, but he used the questions to create the presentations and workshops he wishes he could have seen before he set up his first business.
