12 June 2026 Charities Trust is delighted to announce that its Chief Executive Officer, Linda Minnis, has been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in The King’s Birthday Honours List in recognition of her outstanding services to the charity sector and corporate philanthropy.
Since 2010, Linda has led Liverpool-based Charities Trust through a period of significant growth and innovation. Not only has she created opportunity in, with and for the local community, her championing and stewardship of philanthropic giving has enabled positive, systemic social impact, and created stronger, more equitable connections between businesses, employees, and charitable causes across the UK and internationally.
Under Linda’s leadership, Charities Trust reached the incredible milestone of expediting over £1bn to get to the causes that needed it most whilst the organisation itself has expanded its reach and delivered on its mission to make charitable giving more accessible, effective, and meaningful. Often cited as one of the UK’s most generous cities, Linda Minnis for Charities Trust has been one of Liverpool’s most prominent facilitators of giving, and at the same time, one of its best kept secrets. We hope that this news, whilst celebrating Linda’s achievements, highlights how giving can be implemented easily and effectively into an organisation’s DNA.
