Woodlands Hospice Charity Will Scheme

During April you can make your Will for a donation to Woodlands Hospice

During the month of April you can make your Will with a Solicitor or Will Writer and you don’t pay the usual charge and instead you can make a donation to Woodlands Hospice. The level of the donation is up-to you, the suggested donation is £65 for a single Will and £120 for mirror Wills.

Making a Will is very important and will help to avoid additional stress for your family members at a time when they are already very upset.

Margaret Nugent, whose husband attended Woodlands understands the need for the Hospice to raise money towards patient care through such initiatives as the Charity Will scheme and shares her story.

“From the first day my husband Michael first attended Woodlands as an outpatient, we were welcomed into the hospice. My husband looked forward to his visits and the opportunity to meet with others who were in a similar position to himself. You’d think that would make it a dreary place – groups of, in many cases seriously ill people – but far from it. But for those of you who know Woodlands know that it is a place of hope, friendship, of laughter and companionship. There was also opportunity for both of us to speak with medical staff on a more informal and relaxed basis, sharing worries and concerns.

My husband chose to go back into Woodlands at the end of his life. He was treated with the greatest of care and compassion, and with the utmost regard for his dignity and privacy to the very end. I stayed with him, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff for either of us. Difficult times were made much more bearable in this wonderful place and by these caring people”.

The care Margaret has spoken of could not be provided without help from you. One of the ways in which you can help is to use our Will Scheme. Not only will this help the hospice financially but it provides you and yours with the peace of mind of knowing that your wishes will be followed and your loved ones protected.
