GRAHAM wins big at the annual Building Awards

National contractor GRAHAM Construction, which works across Liverpool and the North West, has been named Major Contractor of the Year at the annual Building Awards, surpassing some of the industry’s biggest names to win one of the evening’s most prestigious prizes.

GRAHAM Construction is part of the GRAHAM Group, one of the UK and Ireland’s leading construction, asset management and project investment businesses. In the financial year ending April 2017, the company increased its turnover to £565 million, attained its highest ranking to date in The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 (number 16th) and achieved the coveted Investors in People Platinum standard.

Commenting on the award, Executive Chairman, Michael Graham said: “GRAHAM remains focused on its continued and sustainable growth, working collaboratively with clients and industry partners to successfully deliver lasting impact, value and innovation across a wide range of sectors and signature projects. We are delighted to have received this accolade, which comes towards the end of another highly successful year for the business. We continue to invest significantly in health and safety, BIM, digital construction, off-site manufacture and the wellbeing and development of our outstanding GRAHAM teams, whilst further enhancing the financial position of the company. It is the collective creativity and hard work of our 2,200 colleagues that has helped us get to where we are today.”

Liverpool Chamber of Commerce member GRAHAM Construction currently boasts over 100 live construction projects across the UK and Ireland, with works spanning a range of signature healthcare, education, defence and civic projects.
