As extra Beatles Tribute Cruise date is added due to overwhelming demand

Mersey Ferries adds an additional date for the popular Beatles Tribute Cruises to its seasonal programme in response to public demand for tickets

The new Friday night date will help mark International Beatle Week taking place between 22 – 28 August

Beatles fans and music lovers who missed out on booking tickets for Mersey Ferries’ popular Beatles Tribute Cruises are in luck, as the iconic Mersey Ferries have announced a new date this summer.

Due to an overwhelming demand for tickets, an extra Beatles Tribute Cruise has now been added to the summer cruise roster and will sail on Friday, August 24.

With a live performance from one of the North West’s most-loved Beatles cover acts, Paperback Writers, the two-and-a-half-hour cruise along the Mersey is set to transport passengers back to the swinging sixties.

“Our Beatles-themed cruises are always popular but we’ve been overwhelmed by the demand for tickets this year in particular,” said Gary Evans of the Mersey Ferries. “Our Saturday evening dates in July and August sold out almost straight away, so we’ve added an extra cruise date to meet the demand.”

“The cruise will also be a great way to celebrate International Beatle Week as customers can re-live the feeling of Beatlemania once again. We can’t wait to welcome fab four fans on board for an evening of iconic music with the Paperback Writers.”

The cruise programme for 2018 celebrates the ten-year anniversary of Liverpool achieving Capital of Culture status and will celebrate the fab four’s appearance on the Mersey Ferries back in the 60’s.

The cruise offers a licensed bar, along with hot and cold food which is available to buy on-board.

Tickets are available now for the additional date on Friday, August 24. The cruise will last two and a half hours, departing from Seacombe at 7.20pm and Liverpool at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £20 per person.
