Volunteering opportunity from the Mayoral 100 club

We have announced a call out for volunteers to get involved in the Giant Spectacular event, Liverpool’s Dream which will take place in Liverpool and Wirral from 4 - 7 October.

As with other opportunities, this can also be used as a staff engagement opportunity for you and your staff.

Each time that the Giants visit us, we rely on members of the public to join us in giving our guests a welcome fit for, well, giants, and this year will be no different. We are recruiting a giant army of volunteers to help make the final visit of the Giants to Merseyside one to remember and join us in making dreams come true.

From walking with giants as Benevol, acting as a runner on the ground to driving production vehicles and providing translation services - there are a diverse range of roles which we need help with. For people who are physically fit and not scared of heights, there is also a once in a lifetime opportunity to act as a Lilliputian and join the team that help the Giants manoeuvre around the city.

We are very proud to announce that we are working with Liverpool ONE and all our volunteers will be registered as official City Stars, a dedicated group of volunteers who help deliver that famous warm Liverpool welcome and become our ambassadors for the city as we put Merseyside once again, on a Giant stage.

Staff, with your consent, are encouraged to apply - it would be great to see some familiar faces getting involved!

It would be great if you could join the conversation on social media, the hashtag is #LiverpoolGiants and our social media channels are @Giantspectacle on Twitter, @Giant Spectacular on Instagram and Giant Spectacular on Facebook. The event link if you would like to join is: https://www.facebook.com/events/245249676042023/

The Giant Spectacular website is also live www.giantspectacular.com and there is a range of merchandise available should you wish to brand up for the event!

As always, we are also working on collating demand for maps and route information – if you would like to receive maps (digital and print copies) please can you  let us know an estimate of how many you would need so that we can assess demand.
