Roberto's Restaurant: "Making Business Work an absolute privilege"

Roberto Cinti and Lesley Yates-Cinti, owners of Roberto's Restaurant in Southport, recently attended the Making Business Work (MBW) workshops, and have commented not only on how much they benefited from their experiences, but how valued they felt to be there.

Lesley explains: "Roberto and I really enjoyed the recent Making Business Work Training Events held at the Chamber.

"We felt it was an absolute privilege to have been offered the opportunity to take part in such informative and certainly enlightening workshops. In particular, the two-part Neuro Linguistic Programming Workshops, taught to us by the lovely Joan Darwin, really were a real eye-opener, and we left feeling totally inspired and well-informed. Joan explained things to us in a knowledgeable and fun way that had us all participating and interacting from the very start.

"The facilities at No. 1 Old Hall Street are perfect for such training events, and we certainly enjoyed the hospitality shown to us; it certainly is different for US to be spoiled and waited on for a change!

"We have already used the skills learned within the day-to-day running of our business, and have found the information extremely useful in dealing with everyday business challenges, in particular with staff training. We feel the formats taught will stay with us for a long time to come, and as we have learned, knowledge is power!

"Meeting fellow Chamber members also proved most useful as we made some wonderful contacts; overall, the workshops provided an excellent opportunity to do some really quality networking."

The MBW project remains open for Merseyside businesses employing under 250 staff who have not received MBW support previously.
