Climb for Hope: Mental health advocate Alex Staniforth visits HM3 Legal

Charity ambassador, adventurer and motivational speaker, Alex Staniforth paused for a moment during his 446 Challenge to meet employees from HM3 Legal at their office in Chester who presented him with a Big Cheque for £1,000 following HM3’s Snowdon Challenge.

Alex is raising funds for award-winning charity Mind Over Mountains, which he co-founded in 2020, created to promote positive mental health and wellbeing through access to nature including walks and retreats.

Alex’s motivation comes from the heart. As a younger man he experienced his own mental health challenges, was bullied and had a stammer – all of which he has chosen to turn into positive action and initiatives to motivate others.

A Climb for Hope

The 446 Challenge is a quest to raise £100,000 and involves Alex climbing all 466 ‘nuttalls’ in England and Wales within 50 days. Each day sees Alex take to the hills (literally) to raise awareness about mental health which he shares on social media, and vital funds for the charity.

HM3 Snowdon Challenge

To support Alex’s incredible challenge, HM3 Legal sponsored one of the stages on Alex’s itinerary: Snowdon. Further inspired by Alex a small team from HM3 also climbed Snowdon, raising £1,000 for Mind Over Mountains. This peak challenge put Alex’s achievement into perspective. Just one out of the 446 summits proved to be a mini-challenge for the team at HM3 Legal, a B Corp business supporting physical and mental wellbeing activities.

Alex comments:

“This is the toughest challenge to date. Big mountains need bold support. Thank you HM3 Legal for climbing Snowdon, alongside the journey.”
