Archbishop Blanch has a comprehensive programme of events and activities which offer their students the chance to gain the skills and competencies which they will need in order to secure a successful future career.  Many of these depend upon the support they receive from their partner businesses and employers who provide an invaluable insight into the world of work and the wide range of opportunities on offer to young people.

Their latest and upcoming event is their Mock Interviews for Year 12 students. This is a follow on from the experience of mock interviews which the students had in Year 11, but this time studentd will be asked to be more focussed about the purpose of their application.  They may choose to complete their application form on the basis of applying for a course at University, for an Apprenticeship opportunity or indeed for a specific job role they have in mind for their future career.  Interviewers will be informed of this prior to meeting the student and will also have sight of the completed application form.  Standard/model questions will be provided but interviewers will also be encouraged to include their own questions based on the student’s area of interest, and preparation time will be allowed for this in the process.

It is the schools intention to offer Year 12 students the opportunity of a 20 minute mock interview on either the 18th June  ( from 8.45 am to 1.00pm) or the 19th June (mainly from 11.00am – 2.00pm with a few slots at 8.45am for a maximum of one hour). They will be allocated a time to attend dependent upon their free lessons on those days and will submit an application by a deadline date prior to interview so that interviewer files can be prepared.

Archbishop Blanch would like to invite you to support the Mock Interview process by coming along to act as interviewers for their students.  Anytime which can be given would be greatly appreciated even if this is just an hour across either of the days. On the 19th June they require a number of interviewers at 8.45am just for a one hour period so if you only have a short amount of time to spare this may be an ideal choice for you.

If you feel you, or any of your colleagues can help out at this event please respond to either Joyce Youds at or  Michell Shurie at with your preferred date and times and they will get back to you with a confirmation and then follow up with further details closer to the event date.
