In a bid to raise much-needed funds, Woodlands Hospice and its larger-than-life lottery mascot Larry Lotto, will be in Liverpool city centre on Friday 28 February. Larry and the charity team will be handing out goody bags to anyone signing up in person to its weekly lottery.

Between 10am and 4pm on the day, the Woodlands Hospice team and Larry Lotto will be on the corner of Lord and Church Streets, near MacDonalds, ready to hand out goody bags to anyone joining up for a weekly chance to win the lottery’s top £500 prize.

Woodlands Hospice Head of Income Generation Jonathan Burgess said: “We need to raise £4,000 each and every day to continue the best-practice, free-of-charge care we’re committed to for patients with life-limiting illnesses and the support we offer families.

“For just a £1 a week, our Woodlands Hospice Lottery is a quick and easy way for people to support us as well as being in with a chance of winning the weekly top prize of £500. Signing up 1,000 new lottery members means additional funds of £52K which will make an enormous difference to our charity, its patients and their relatives.”
Woodlands Hospice offers a consultant-led, specialist palliative care to patients and support for their families in the north Liverpool, south Sefton and Kirkby areas.
