Message from Sue Forster, Chair of Champs Directors of Public Health

On behalf of the Champs Directors of Public Health I would like to thank all our local public health teams and partners for their hard work during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is more important than ever that we look after our mental wellbeing and encourage others to do the same. We are delighted to launch the new 'Kind to Your Mind' campaign, in collaboration with the Cheshire & Merseyside Health and Care Partnership (C&M HCP).

Our Collaborative multimedia campaign targeting key workers and the general public will be promoted across a range of channels including radio, press and social media. The campaign will promote the national ‘Every Mind Matters’ messages and materials and the new ALMA wellbeing portal developed by the C&M HCP. The ALMA online portal has a suite of mental and physical wellbeing resources available to all C&M residents and workers.

People will be directed to a campaign microsite,, which has links to:
• The national ‘Every Mind Matters’ website
• The ALMA wellbeing portal with free apps and online CBT
• Mental health crisis helplines
• A series of wellbeing themed podcasts that will feature on Smooth FM

Matt Ashton, Director of Public Health in Liverpool gave an interview on the campaign on Radio City Talk, you can listen here

Please share the campaign widely, you can find the campaign microsite here and please support the campaign on social media with the hashtag #BeKindToYourMind.

The C&M HCP have created a short promotional video for the campaign which can be viewed here and the campaign briefing is here.

Thank you in advance, your support on this important campaign is much appreciated at this very busy and challenging time.
