Planning application submitted for Wilson Patten Street, Warrington

Falconer Chester Hall have submitted a planning-application for an apartment development on Wilson Patten Street, a main arterial route into Warrington town centre.

The proposed four-storey development will consist of 74 apartments and is being designed by the Liverpool studio of Falconer Chester Hall for Park Equity Invest Limited.

The application sees the replacement of Arpley House, a building of local interest derived from its association with R.A. Naylor Limited. The top of the door surround on Arpley House will be retained and displayed in the communal resident’s garden.

The new development will make more efficient use of the footprint and incorporates basement car parking spaces, ground floor cycle store and resident’s lobby. There will be a communal garden to the rear of the development.

“The aim is to deliver a confident, contemporary rendition of apartment living. The scheme looks to provide a visual link with the existing Georgian Terraces along Wilson Patten Street and the proposed material palette will ensure the building sits well within its context,” said Mike Gore, Director.

Jeremy Clarke of Park Equity Invests Limited added “this opportunity will provide a coherent development, making full use of the site resulting in energy efficient residential accommodation.”

Other consultants on the scheme include Zerum - planning consultant.
