Ladies gather for Morecrofts charity event

More than 100 guests came together to enjoy the annual Ladies Evening hosted by Morecrofts Solicitors.

The event at Hope Street Hotel featured a range of local, independent exhibitors, including Liverpool Cheese Company, Dot Art, Owen Drew Candles, Hope Street Spa, Dot Hair, Smudge Boutique and Jemma Marston Jewellery, all of whom donated prizes to support fundraising on the night.

Guests raised £500 for Freshfields Animal Rescue, which was named as Morecrofts’ charity partner for the coming year following a vote by its staff.

Alison Lobb, managing partner at Morecrofts, said:

“It was wonderful to bring so many Merseyside women back together again under one roof to enjoy one of the best events in our calendar.

“Not only is it an excellent way for professionals to network and socialise, but it also gives us a platform to begin raising vital funds for this year’s charity partner, Freshfields Animal Rescue, which is doing incredibly important work caring for abandoned, abused or injured animals.”

Jane Young, chair of trustees at Freshfields Animal Rescue, said:

“We are delighted to be chosen as Morecrofts’ charity partner for this coming year.

“Unfortunately, times of increasing hardship for so many people often coincide with an increase in the number of household pets that fall into our care, so the money raised over the next 12 months through the Morecrofts network will be invaluable to our work to protect as many animals as possible.”
