Dimitar Kuzmanov wins the 20th Edition of The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament

Bulgarian no. 2 Dimitar Kuzmanov beats Marcus Willis 6-4 6-7 12-10 to win the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament 2022.

This was Dimitar’s first win on grass and he will now head to Wimbledon qualifiers starting on Monday. Runner-up Marcus Willis announced in his acceptance speech his return to the ATP Doubles Tour starting from July and hopes to get more chances to play Grand Slam tennis once again.

Qiang Wang wins Liverpool International Womens Tennis 2022

Qiang Wang beat Nadia Podoroska 7-5 6-4 in the final of the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament 2022.

This was Wang’s second victory in Liverpool having won in 2016 in another spectacular women’s final.

Wang, once ranked world no. 12, is coached by former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash who hopes to help rediscover the Chinese player’s best form ahead of Wimbledon. Podoroska will also be one to watch at Wimbledon this year having previously reached the semi-finals of Roland Garros 2 years ago.
