Christmas with Nugent!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…!

Christmas can, and should be, a magical time for children and their families, but many children in our care or communities can find this time very stressful and difficult. Our beneficiaries may not always see Christmas as a joyous time, but you and your colleagues can help change that! Here at Nugent, we inspire our beneficiaries and, with your help, Christmas can be the perfect opportunity to start building a bank of positive memories.

Would you be able to help Nugent bring warmth and joy to those we support this Christmas, and help spread some festive joy?

There are many ways for you to get involved:

  • Gifting our children and young people with something to open on Christmas Day
  • Feeding families across our communities who are living in poor conditions and probably won’t enjoy a Christmas dinner
  • Christmas hampers for our beneficiaries – from homelessness to adoption. We are gratefully accepting the following items (must be new) which can be dropped off at our head office, 99 Edge Lane, L7 2PE until Tuesday 13th December
  • Toiletries
  • Hats, scarves gloves
  • Pyjamas
  • Underwear
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Toys and board Games
  • Chocolates/selection boxes
  • Sweets
  • Mince pies
  • Christmas pudding (non-alcoholic)
  • Christmas cake (non-alcoholic)
  • Crisps
  • Crackers for cheese
  • Jam
  • Pasta
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Volunteering at our adult homes to play a game with our adults who suffer with dementia, acquired brain injuries or mental health problems, who may experience loneliness at Christmas time
  • Donate decorations to help our homes get in the spirit
  • Donate online to our Christmas Appeal to help us continue our vital work in helping our beneficiaries- Nugent’s Christmas Appeal | Localgiving
  • Join in with the Fundraising Team by volunteering to help us package the hampers and get in the Christmas spirit!

We would be so grateful if you would be able to support Nugent this Christmas. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch for further information on ways you can make a difference this festive period.

Thank you again, and wishing you and wonderful Christmas time!
