Your business can work with the Consulate of Turkiye in Manchester and Turkish Airlines to help with the relief effort.
The priority items needed by people in Turkiye and Syria are as follows:
- Winter tents
- Portable gas heaters
- Sleeping Bags/Blankets
- Power Generators (only brand new ones can be transferred by air transportation)
If any businesses are able to donate these types of goods, you’ll need to be transferred directly to the warehouse of a customs agent at Manchester Airport.
Liverpool Chamber will need to know the list of the contents and the registration number of the van/truck that will transport the goods in advance to share the address in Manchester.
The British Chambers of Commerce in Turkiye (BCCT) are also currently trying to coordinate some aid campaigns and trying to identify some UK companies that can directly help with urgent basic needs such as water tanks, mobile toilets, tents, and containers.
