E-Sign to Attend Clinical Pharmacy Congress North in Partnership with Thula

E-Sign is due to attend the inaugural Clinical Pharmacy Congress North in Manchester on November 3rd and 4th in partnership with Icelandic tech firm, Thula.

The partnership with Thula has seen our advanced electronic signature solution integrated into Thula’s ALFA controlled drug module to provide a closed-loop and fully paperless solution for the management of controlled drugs in the NHS, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and elevating governance when managing controlled drugs.

The Congress comes at an exciting time, as the solution for built in support for e-signatures and controlled drug management is currently being rolled out to the University Hospitals Birmingham.

Collectively, the solution will:

– Immediate and full UK regulatory compliance with electronic signing
– Effective discrepancy detection and resolution
– Complete elimination of paper-based registers
– Improved workflows support increased Care Hours per Patient Day (CHPPD)
– A control tower overview of all aspects of controlled drugs management

The user engagement testing program and pilot has now been completed with data collected. It has now entered the controlled first phase service roll out with further data to be collected.

Thomas Taylor, Managing Director of E-Sign said:

“We are hugely excited to be working with Thula on such a significant project to help the NHS build a solid digital infrastructure that frees up resources, lightens the load on the environment, and boosts the quality of services that patients receive.”

Adele McAllister, Thula Country Manager UK said:

“We are very proud and thrilled to be working with the E-Sign team, creating a truly digital and revolutionizing management tool for controlled drugs in a post-pandemic world. Alfa is an integration hub that is technology agnostic and provides a complete and closed loop management of medicine stock. The benefits to the clinical and pharmacy teams are huge and drives greater legislative and regulatory confidence and safer and efficient patient care.”

The CPC Congress North is an annual event with over 1,200 pharmacy professionals joining to learn and network with experts in the industry.

E-Sign and Thula will be exhibiting on the day, showcasing the advanced e-signature solution and answering any questions from delegates.
