An exciting event is coming to Liverpool next week and a limited number of places are still available for businesses.
Summit 2024: Transforming Skills & Employability for the Region will bring together employers, policy makers and training providers and provide an opportunity for delegates to understand how the region’s six Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF) projects are progressing and shape the next steps.
Over the last few months Colleges, Training Providers and Chambers of Commerce from across the Liverpool City Region have been working together to deliver a series of six transformational, employer-backed projects that will enable providers to better support the needs of the local labour market and the wider economy into the future.
Funded by LSIF, the projects have been devised in response to the recommendations outlined in the Local Skills Improvement Plan, which took in the views of over 1,100 local employers to identify the skills needed to support economic growth and boost productivity in the region.
Steve Rotheram, Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, Rachel Smith from Peel Ports, and Mark McManus from Stiebel Eltron will all be delivering updates at the event, and representatives from the six colleges involved in the projects will be providing updates on progress and joining a panel discussion.
Delegates will have the opportunity to share their valuable insights and feedback, get their questions answered and enable colleges to make informed adjustments to ensure delivery of skills needed to support economic growth in the region.
