Kimpton secures 1m sq ft of maintenance contracts on Liverpool’s waterfront

Kimpton has been appointed to provide maintenance services at Liverpool’s West Tower, taking its total contracts on the city’s waterfront to more than a million sq ft.

The new contract will see the firm maintain the heating and air conditioning systems within the 40-storey building, which comprises a mix of residential apartments and the popular Panoramic 34 restaurant.

Kimpton already counts multiple waterfront sites among its existing clients, including St Nicholas’ Church, M&S Bank Arena, Exhibition Centre Liverpool, The Capital Building, Sony’s headquarters on Old Hall Street and Mann Island Apartments, as well as the Radisson Blu and Leonardo hotels, reflecting its specialist knowledge of large, complex developments.

This latest milestone marks a further period of growth for Kimpton, which successfully completed an MBO in November last year following an increase in turnover to over £25m.

Matt Breakwell, business development director at Kimpton, said:

“West Tower is an iconic, contemporary landmark on Liverpool’s skyline, offering an excellent setting and views over the city for both its apartment residents and those dining at the Panoramic restaurant, so we are delighted to be coming on board.

“Servicing and maintenance of heating and ventilation systems is at the core of our business and is something for which we are proud to be respected by clients across the North West and beyond.

“This reputation is certainly reflected in the scale of our client operations along the Liverpool waterfront, where we look after some of the city’s most prominent developments – a fantastic achievement for a homegrown business such as ourselves.”
