Rail commuters surprised by ‘Valen-TRAINS Day’ messages at stations

Ten lucky commuters were surprised on their way to work this morning with special ‘Valen-TRAINS Day’ messages from their beloved.

Messages appeared on ticket vending machines (TVM) and customer information screens (CIS) at their local stations, including: Altrincham, Goole, Greenbank, Leeds, Manchester Victoria, Oxenholme Lake District, Preston, Scarborough, Seamer and Sunderland.

It follows a social media appeal from Northern for people to write heartfelt messages to their loved ones.
