Nine Regional and Voluntary Adoption Agencies have come together to deliver the Nobody Knows Me Better campaign and raise awareness of the need for more sibling group adopters across the North West.
Nobody Knows Me Better shares the stories of sibling groups that have been adopted by individual families, ensuring that their bond will continue to grow as they age. Launched alongside a video animation featuring the real voices of adopted siblings from across the region, the campaign strives to not only increase awareness but to share the positives of adopting sibling groups.
The campaign has been brought forward by Adoption Counts, Adoption in Merseyside, Adoption in Lancashire & Blackpool, Adoption Matters, Adoption Now, Caritas Care, Nugent, Barnardos and Together for Adoption.
The circumstances facing sibling groups up for adoption is evidenced by data statistics. These statistics have been collected by all North West Regional Adoption Agencies in January 2025. 145 (39%) of the 374 children facing adoption in the region are part of a sibling group. Meanwhile, sibling groups tend to wait seven months longer before finding an adoptive family due to the lack of prospective adopters approved.
Over the past year, Nugent is proud to have supported the adoption of sibling groups to their forever homes. It is hoped that the campaign will encourage other families to adopt sibling groups going forward.
