We are delighted to announce the extension of UKSPF funded business support across the city region for another 12 months, and invite local businesses to join us at this event to find out more.
We welcome start up and growing businesses from Liverpool City Region wanting to build growth within their enterprises to join us for a morning of networking, inspiring speakers and a business support showcase.
You will be able to find out more about the new line up of business support services funded by UK Shared Prosperity Fund including:
- Business Support Service – Support for Start Ups and Established businesses delivered by the six City Region Local Authorities
- Innovation Sprint Programme and Leadership for Growth Programme – delivered by Edge Hill University
- Export – Support for businesses to export delivered by Growth Platform
- Supply Chain – Procurement and supply chain support delivered by Growth Platform
- Low Carbon Eco Innovatory – delivered by Liverpool John Moores University
- Kindred – Support for socially trading organisations
- Horizons – Innovation support led by University of Liverpool in collaboration with Edge Hill University and LJMU

Meet our host
Ngunan Adamu is a seasoned producer, presenter, and international multimedia trainer with over fifteen years of experience at the BBC. She presents and produces “UK Black” in the North West, a flagship show dedicated to amplifying the voices and stories of the African Caribbean community.
Beyond her media career, Ngunan is an influential entrepreneur and community advocate. As the founder and CEO of iWoman Media Ltd, she leads initiatives that promote diversity and empowerment within the industry. Her work spans women’s empowerment, entertainment, exploration, and global inspiration, making a meaningful impact through each story.
Ngunan launch launched ‘The 1000 Club,’ an initiative aimed at empowering Black women entrepreneurs with comprehensive financial literacy and business development programmes. This project seeks to bridge the wealth gap by providing participants with the knowledge and resources to boost their financial resilience and entrepreneurial success.
And has recently launched ‘Roots and Pride” a yearly event dedicated to celebrating migrants in the Liverpool City Region.
Ngunan is also celebrated for her engaging presence as a host. She was one of the four hosts of Eurovisioncast, the official BBC Eurovision podcast, and has graced numerous national awards shows and film premieres with her charm and expertise.
Recognised as a Liverpool Icon during Cunard’s Queen Anne celebrations alongside figures like Spice Girl Mel C and Olympian Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Ngunan was also honoured with the Merseyside Women of the Year Fellowship award for her significant contributions to women’s empowerment and social justice.
