Chris Ratten and Gareth Harris of RSM UK Restructuring Advisory were appointed Joint Administrators of Trans-Continental Group Limited on the 27 November 2025.
Based in Blackpool, Trans-Continental Group Limited was a wholesaler and distributor of seasonal products, operating out of freehold premises and employing 13 members of staff.
The business has faced several operational challenges including a cyber-attack in 2024 and ongoing cashflow issues which led to the appointment of the Administrators.
Since their appointment, Joint Administrators have completed a sale of the business and company assets to Transcontinental Imports Limited, ensuring all staff transfer over to the new company. The sale of the business and assets completed on 2 December 2025.
Chris Ratten, RSM UK Restructuring Advisory Partner and Joint Administrator said:
“A cyber-attack derailed operations in 2024 which was hard to recover from, and like many wholesalers and distributors carrying a high stock level caused cashflow issues and ultimately creditor pressure. The sale of the business and its assets not only secures 13 regional jobs, but provides a future for the wholesale business.”
