National accountancy and advisory firm MHA, the UK member firm of Baker Tilly International, has made a senior management promotion in its Liverpool audit team to support its continued growth in the city.

Helen Roby has been promoted to Senior Audit Manager. She is Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)-qualified and joined MHA around four years ago as Corporate Services Manager, bringing with her almost a decade of experience in audit and finance roles.

Her new position will include increased leadership responsibility for the audit team and the growth of MHA’s client portfolio in Liverpool and across the North West.

Helen’s promotion is one of seven at MHA’s Liverpool office in recent weeks.

Andrew Matthews, Partner and Head of MHA’s Liverpool office said: “Over the past five years, MHA’s Liverpool office has grown from around 10 staff to a full-service office of over 50 colleagues and four partners.

“We’re continuing to grow in Liverpool and therefore to ensure we retain the highest possible level of client service, we must invest in both new expert appointments and the continued development of our staff.

“Helen has been with MHA since not long after our Liverpool office opened. Her expertise, and the relationships she has developed with clients have contributed to our expansion and this promotion will give her further scope to grow MHA’s reputation across the Liverpool city region and beyond.”

Helen Roby, Senior Audit Manager, MHA said: “What sets MHA apart from other professional services firms is the relationship between colleagues, particularly in supporting each other and sharing expertise.

“I’ve received so much help and support from partners and senior staff since joining MHA which has expanded my knowledge and approach to giving clients the best service possible. In the same way, I’m really looking forward to helping and mentoring junior members of staff in a greater capacity as part of my new role while contributing to MHA’s continued growth in Liverpool.”
