Are You Ready for Small Business Saturday?

Tue, October 10th, 2017

Saturday 2nd December marks the 5th anniversary of Small Business Saturday.

The event was established as a grassroots campaign, which aims to highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities.

To help promote the campaign in local areas Small Business Saturday Champions have been selected, with the role of broadening the reach of the campaign and strengthening their local small business community.

In Merseyside and West Lancashire Sara Parker, Marketing Manager at Face for Business, has been named as a champion for 2017. A previous member of the Small Biz 100, Sara is exciting to be involved in the project: “Face for Business has been a part of the Small Business Saturday campaign since it launched in the UK and have seen first-hand how it helps organisations connect and thrive. I am delighted to be one of the 2017 champions and as well as networking locally, I will be encouraging our clients to take part in Small Business Saturday and use it as an opportunity to show people just what they do.”

American Express together with the likes of Dropbox and Vistaprint are heavily involved with the campaign, with the Federation of Small Businesses and Enterprise Nation also at the heart of this Government backed grassroots movement.
