Local housing association help clean-up neighbourhoods

One Vision Housing (OVH), part of The Sovini Group, has partnered with local organisations to carry out community action days to help improve neighbourhoods in Sefton and St Helens.

As part of their ongoing commitment to safety and security, OVH has carried out a series of community action days with support from local police and partner organisations.

Doorstep visits have been carried out, in line with Government guidance, to offer residents support with ASB, benefits advice and more.

Merseyside Police have been on hand during home visits to provide support with anti-social behaviour issues, bike marking and target hardening to strengthen home security.

Councillor Paulette Lappin, MP Peter Dowd and partner agencies Sovini Property Services, Plus Dane Housing and Sefton Council have lent their support as well by litter picking across various neighbourhoods.

Skips were also hired by OVH for the disposal of large items in an effort to make communities cleaner and help curb fly-tipping.

Managing Director of Housing for One Vision Housing, Ian Mitchell, said:

“This is a great example of what can be achieved through partnership working and will go a long way in helping OVH create thriving, inclusive communities. I would like to thank everyone who helped to make our community action days a success. Together, we not only helped improve the lives of our residents, but worked hard to help make the areas in which they live better, too.”
