LJMU’s Industry Innovation Zone offers sustainability projects to support local SMEs on their low carbon journey

Liverpool John Moores University’s Industry Innovation Zone hosts a number of sustainability projects which support local SMEs on their low carbon journey: Eco-I North West, Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory and Clean Growth UK.

Free support available includes:

  • Working with businesses to research and identify business areas with a high carbon footprint and collaboratively develop options to reduce it
  • Access to academic expertise and facilities to test develop and commercialise low carbon products, processes or services
  • Support and guidance to access funding opportunities

With years of experience working with SMEs on their sustainability, we understand it’s often difficult to know where to start when considering your companies carbon footprint and engaging in a low carbon economy so our support is designed for companies at all stages of their low carbon journey.

If you would like to find out more, please get in touch with the team on eco-inorthwest@ljmu.ac.uk and we can direct you to the most appropriate project for support.

Eco-I North West and Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory are part-funded by ERDF. Clean Growth UK is funded by Research England.
