Skills Brokerage Service launches across LCR

Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has launched its new Be More project, supporting businesses across LCR to upskill their workforce and add value to their teams. The project is funded by the European Social Fund & LCR Strategic Investment Fund.

Businesses in Liverpool, Halton, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral can now access free, impartial advice from experienced Skills Brokers, who can support them to access funding and will work with them to identify local training providers.

Through the project, Skills Brokers can also work with businesses to identify apprenticeship routes for existing employees, help them to recruit apprentices, and support them to access a number of fully funded courses to upskill employees. These courses include Basic Business Skills, Soft Support Skills, Leadership & Management & Hospitality.

Skills Brokers enable businesses across LCR to build bespoke training plans for existing staff, plugging skills gaps and ultimately adding value to the business by developing the workforce.
